What is an instant photo?
An instant photo is a print that develops by itself within minutes after the picture is taken, made by an instant camera with self-developing film. The first instant cameras went on sale in 1948, and their square prints with a white border and a wider strip at the bottom became an icon of casual photography. This filter recreates that look from a digital photo; it is not affiliated with any camera brand.

What does the instant photo look like?
The instant photo looks like a real print photographed on a table: your photo inside a white instant-film frame with a thicker bottom border, warm faded colors, a soft vignette, gentle grain and slightly blown highlights, lying on a warm wooden table in daylight beside a few dried flowers. The frame and table carry no writing or logo.

Frequently asked questions
Your first image on LeafReel is free, so your first result costs nothing and carries a LeafReel watermark. Buy any credit pack and that same image unlocks as the original file without the watermark. Each image after that costs 20 credits.
Upload one clear photo and select Create image. The AI turns it into a faded instant-film print with a white frame on a wooden table.
No. LeafReel is not affiliated with Polaroid; the frame is a generic instant-film style with no logo.
Not on this page; the border is left blank. Add handwriting in any image editor afterwards.
No. You get one styled image of the print on a table, not a printable frame template.
Only of adults who agreed. Photos of children, celebrities or people who did not consent are not allowed, and results must not be used to mock or harass anyone.
LeafReel does not grant or guarantee commercial rights to results. You keep the rights you already hold in your photo; before selling or advertising with the image, check the model terms and get written permission from the person shown.
Each instant photo costs 20 credits after your free image. The $9.90 One Video pack has 600 credits, enough for 30 images; on Pro each works out to about $0.17.
A failed instant photo job returns its 20 credits automatically, or, if it was your free image, you can try again for free.
